Individuals who wanted both psychotherapeutic and medicinal services were inconvenienced by the fact that there were no psychiatrists and psychologists practicing in the same office building. So in 1988 Drs. Thomas, South and Ms. Bettes created a small group practice that represented the three major mental health disciplines: psychiatry, psychology, and social work. We chose a model in which all members provide collegial support and share equally in the ownership and decision-making.
